Hackney Markets

My guide to Londons East side … first up… Hackney on a Saturday! The Hackney Market is a food and vintage lovers delight!

The first thing you should do when entering the bustling Broadway Markets is grab a very, very good coffee from Climpson & Sons. The coffee here was so good we ordered three! It gets incredibly busy here, particularly on a Saturday but most people seemed to be getting takeaway so we had no trouble finding a seat even though it was jam packed. It is really cosy inside and has quite a buzz about it however sitting outside on the benches and taking in the atmosphere of the markets is alot more fun.

After your coffee it is time to grab some food from the stalls. Pretty much anything you want you can get here – from authentic, ethnic dishes to deserts. It all smelt soooo good it was hard to know what to choose!

Then as you head down towards the other end and you pass a few really cool vintage clothes stalls, shops & buskers but don’t think it ends here!

Around the corner is Netil House. A community of artists and other creative sorts which on Saturday has a great market with loads of amazing food and vintage! Definitely a highlight of my day. Make sure you don’t miss them !

    1. I am a market girl down to my very soul. I love wandering all sorts of markets and it’s beautiful when farmers markets come to the citywide their beautiful flowers and produce as well as handmade goodies. It’s the number one way to support a community xoxo
