Sometimes you only need to go away for the weekend to feel completely rejuvenated, relaxed and refreshed and that is exactly how I felt after spending the long weekend in Maleny. This gorgeous town in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has a very cool little village and miles of stunning views. It is the perfect place to relax and do nothing while also offering plenty to keep you busy if you want.

The botanical gardens are absolutely stunning and the views from here are breathtaking. It is really worth taking a moment to check this place out…and don’t forget to chat to the very talkative birdies at the entrance.

Views of the Glasshouse Mountains are everywhere and perfect when shared with someone special 🙂

We stopped for some scones at the Antiques Teahouse and this was the view. So peaceful and the scones were..OMG ..the best!

In the centre of town is this gorgeous Artisan Food Market. We stopped for coffee and chilled out for a bit. This place is young, hip and vibrant. Right up my alley, I loved it! All the food smelt amazing… It was a pity I had eaten so much for breakfast that I was too full to try anything.

Maleny has such beautiful little boutiques, from fashion to antiques to books….you would love browsing this quaint hinterland village.

This little book house was just randomly standing in the middle of the street. Ahhh, I loved it.

This was our secluded country cottage for the weekend. Perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all and the breakfasts were delicious!!! We had views of rolling hills, listened to the birds and even had a cute neighbourhood doggy visit us one morning.  The house was bordered with beautiful lavender bushes and a rose garden. So much beauty.

When was the last time you had some time away to just do nothing?

It is kind off hard t grasp the idea of ‘doing nothing’ when you are used to being so busy all the time, but I am telling you, it is worth it. Maleny is a really great place to get away, fifteen minutes from the coast in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland mountains, this beautiful hideaway will help take all your cares away.

Peace.

Love Sechy

xoxo
